The main report regarding the EcoHealth Alliance proposal leaked on the internet a couple of months ago, it has remained unverified until now. Project Veritas has obtained a separate report to the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, written by U.S. Marine Corp Major, Joseph Murphy, a former DARPA Fellow.

“The proposal does not mention or assess potential risks of Gain of Function (GoF) research,” a direct quote from the DARPA rejection letter.

Project Veritas has obtained startling never-before-seen documents regarding the origins of COVID-19, gain of function research, vaccines, potential treatments which have been suppressed, and the government’s effort to conceal all of this.

The documents in question stem from a report at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, better known as DARPA, which were hidden in a top secret shared drive.

DARPA is an agency under the U.S. Department of Defense in charge of facilitating research in technology with potential military applications.

Project Veritas has obtained a separate report to the Inspector General of the Department of Defense written by U.S. Marine Corp Major, Joseph Murphy, a former DARPA Fellow.

The report states that EcoHealth Alliance approached DARPA in March 2018, seeking funding to conduct gain of function research of bat borne coronaviruses. The proposal, named Project Defuse, was rejected by DARPA over safety concerns and the notion that it violates the basis gain of function research moratorium.

According to the documents, NIAID, under the direction of Dr. Fauci, went ahead with the research in Wuhan, China and at several sites across the U.S.

Dr. Fauci has repeatedly maintained, under oath, that the NIH and NAIAD have not been involved in gain of function research with the EcoHealth Alliance program. But according to the documents obtained by Project Veritas which outline why EcoHealth Alliance’s proposal was rejected, DARPA certainly classified the research as gain of function.

Major Murphy’s report goes on to detail great concern over the COVID-19 gain of function program, the concealment of documents, the suppression of potential curatives, like Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine, and the mRNA vaccines.

Project Veritas reached out to DARPA for comment regarding the hidden documents and spoke with the Chief of Communications, Jared Adams, who said, “It doesn’t sound normal to me,” when asked about the way the documents were shrouded in secrecy. “If something resides in a classified setting, then it should be appropriately marked,” Adams said. “I’m not at all familiar with unmarked documents that reside in a classified space, no.”

In a video breaking this story published on Monday night, Project Veritas CEO, James O’Keefe, asked a foundational question to DARPA:

“Who at DARPA made the decision to bury the original report? They could have raised red flags to the Pentagon, the White House, or Congress, which may have prevented this entire pandemic that has led to the deaths of 5.4 million people worldwide and caused much pain and suffering to many millions more.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci has not yet responded to a request for comment on this story.

10 Examples of How China's Corruption & Government Killed People

A plethora of politicians and government officials across the globe screwed up in their handling of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Chinese government, however, was acutely damaging with its ineptitude, because it, more than any other entity, had a chance to limit the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus when it first emerged in late 2019. Instead of trying to contain the virus with the help of the international community, however, the Chinese government lied, misled, and stalled. All of humanity has experienced the disastrous result of this negligence.

In his new book, Uncontrolled Spread, physician, senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and former FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb focused his considerable expertise on pointing out the ways in which the world's response to COVID-19 fell short, and how we can better prepare for the next inevitable pandemic. Early on in the book, he chronicled numerous examples of the Chinese government's inept, corrupt handling of what was then an emerging outbreak.

Here are ten of them:

1. Silencing Genetic Sequencing.

In late December 2019, doctors around Wuhan started noticing people coming in with a strange pneumonia, and began sending patient samples to genomics companies for sequencing. The reports they received back were disturbing – it was a never-before-seen, SARS-like coronavirus. By January 1, provincial health officials instructed these companies to stop testing samples from the Wuhan outbreak and to destroy their remaining specimens. Two days later, China's top health authority ordered genomics labs not to publish any data related to the novel coronavirus.

2. Censoring Doctors.

Early on in the pandemic, Wuhan's local doctors quickly realized that a novel virus was spreading, and took to social media platforms like WeChat and Weibo to share information with each other. They were soon censored by the Chinese government, and posts related to what was then dubbed "Wuhan SARS' were suppressed. Many doctors were detained, interrogated, and threatened with prosecution. "Chinese scientists and physicians took risks, and their efforts saved lives," Gottlieb wrote.

3. Deploying Social Media Bots.

According to ProPublica, more than ten thousand Chinese government-linked accounts on Twitter were used to cast doubt on early reports related to the outbreak in Wuhan.

4. Censoring Social Media.

Citizen Lab documented thousands of keywords related to COVID that were suppressed by the Chinese government on platforms YY and WeChat. Many deleted posts criticized the government for their handling of the outbreak.

5. Not Reporting the Outbreak to the WHO as Required.

As a signatory to major public health treaties, the Chinese government was required to notify the world community of any unusual, novel pathogen within its borders that could spread internationally, typically within 72 hours of detection. The novel coronavirus clearly met this description, yet Chinese officials withheld information about the virus for weeks.

6. Refusing to Share the Coronavirus' Genetic Sequence.

When the genetic sequence of the coronavirus was first shared widely in early January, it was a heroic, rogue Chinese researcher, not the government, who did so. Dr. Zhang Yongzhen was directed not to release the information, but frustrated with what he perceived as irresponsibility by government officials, he defied their order. Within hours, Zhang's lab was shut down by the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission for "rectification".

7. Not Sharing Virus Samples.

Very early on, global researchers were clamoring for Chinese officials to share samples of the novel coronavirus so they could evaluate it and begin developing diagnostic tests, vaccines, and therapeutics. Government officials never did. "Access to those samples at the outset could have helped the world prepare," Gottlieb wrote. "And without the source strains, it would be impossible to determine with any certainty the virus's origin."

8. Attempting to Avoid Travel Restrictions.

In early February, as it started to become clear that China was losing control of the outbreak, the government was still privately clashing with the WHO to block the declaration of a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC). Government officials wanted to avoid burdensome travel restrictions which the PHEIC would likely lead to.

9. Misleading the World Health Organization.

In the early days of the pandemic, the WHO publicly stated that it was in constant contact with Chinese government officials. This was true, but the dialogue was essentially useless. "The WHO would submit long lists of questions to Chinese officials, related to the scope and severity of the epidemic. In return, the Chinese government would provide achingly incomplete replies," Gottlieb wrote. Little of value was relayed.

10. Refusing to Allow CDC Scientists Into Wuhan.

Roughly a dozen CDC staff are permanently stationed in Beijing. On January 1, 2020, CDC Director Robert Redfield emailed Dr. George Fu Gao, the director of China's CDC, requesting that these U.S. researchers be granted access to the outbreak hot zone to assist in identification of the novel pathogen. Gao refused, and would do so again when Redfield pressed the matter. At the time, Chinese officials were still saying publicly there was no evidence of person-to-person spread. Redfield believes that U.S. scientists would have quickly discovered that the coronavirus was spreading human-to-human, and doing so asymptomatically.

Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul believes that new documents about research at the Wuhan lab in China prove his accusations that Dr. Anthony Fauci lied to Congress.

Fauci has continuously denied that the National Institutes of Health paid for gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab.

NEWLY RELEASED DOCUMENTS provide details of U.S.-funded research on several types of coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. The Intercept has obtained more than 900 pages of documents detailing the work of EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S.-based health organization that used federal money to fund bat coronavirus research at the Chinese laboratory. The trove of documents includes two previously unpublished grant proposals that were funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as well as project updates relating to EcoHealth Alliance’s research, which has been scrutinized amid increased interest in the origins of the pandemic.

The documents were released in connection with ongoing Freedom of Information Act litigation by The Intercept against the National Institutes of Health. The Intercept is making the full documents available to the public.

“This is a road map to the high-risk research that could have led to the current pandemic,” Gary Ruskin, who serves as the executive director of the U.S. Right To Know group that has been investigating to origins of the pandemic, said.

But where it gets interesting is where the story showed that the United States Government gave $3.1 million to EcoHealth Alliance, an American company, to support bat coronavirus research at the Wuhan lab.

Around $600,000 of that was used by WIV to find and alter bat coronaviruses that could infect humans.

It also showed research was done on genetically altered mice with human cell receptors was conducted at the Wuhan University Center for Animal Experiment, not at the WIV as was previously believed.

“The documents make it clear that assertions by the NIH Director, Francis Collins, and the NIAID Director, Anthony Fauci, that the NIH did not support gain-of-function research or potential pandemic pathogen enhancement at WIV are untruthful,” professor Ebright said.

If it is true that Fauci lied to Congress he could be in a serious jam, as 18 US Code 1621 explains the penalty for perjury.

That code explains that if a person “is guilty of perjury and shall, except as otherwise expressly provided by law, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both. This section is applicable whether the statement or subscription is made within or without the United States.”

And 18 US Code 1001 explains that anyone who “makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation” could “be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years.”

Paul and Fauci, both doctors, have had a contentious and combative relationship, as was shown during Dr. Fauci’s most recent hearing before Congress where Paul accused him of lying.

It happened in July when Fauci was before the Senate and Paul accused him of “lying” about gain of function research at the Wuhan, China lab being financed by the United States, Fox News reported.

Fauci and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky are also likely to face questions on whether the U.S. should bring back health measures like mask mandates as the delta COVID variant spreads around the country.

In his questioning of Fauci, Paul stepped close to the line of accusing Fauci of lying to Congress in previous testimony in which he said that the NIAID had never funded gain-of-function research in China. Citing a paper on research about bat coronaviruses, Paul said that U.S. money had essentially gone to the hazardous and controversial research – an assertion Fauci strongly objected to.

Paul asked Fauci if he wanted to retract his previous statement before Congress that the “NIH never funded gain of function research in Wuhan,” citing that lying to Congress is a crime.

“I have never lied before the Congress, and I do not retract that statement,” Fauci said, noting that the research Paul talked about was “judged by qualified staff up and down the chain as not being gain of function.”

“Senator Paul, you do not know what you are talking about, and I want to say that officially,” Fauci said.

“It says that ‘scientific research that increases the transmissibility among animals is gain-of-function,’” he said. The Wuhan researchers “took animal viruses…then increased their transmissibility to humans. How you can say that is not gain-of-function—it’s a dance, and you’re dancing around this, because you’re trying to obscure responsibility for four million people around the world dying from a pandemic.”

Fauci was livid with the senator.

“If the point that you are making is that the grant that was funded as a subaward … created SARS-COV-2, that’s where you are getting,” he said as Paul cut him off again.

“We don’t know … but all the evidence is pointing that it came from the lab and there will be responsible for those that funded the lab, including yourself,” the senator said, noting that while “nobody is saying” what was created in the Wuhan lab caused the pandemic the lab was still doing gain of function research that was, in part, paid for by the NIH.

“I totally resent the lie you are now propagating, senator,” the epidemiologist said, noting that it is molecularly impossible the research that the NIH funded was responsible for the creation of SARS-CoV-2.

“You are implying that what we did was responsible for the deaths of individual[s], I totally resent that and if anybody is lying here, senator, it is you,” he said.

Dr. Fauci's Obvious Conflicts of Interest To Wuhan Lab & Origin of COVID-19

Sen. Rand Paul explained how scientists had repeatedly confirmed that the research being done by Dr. Zhengli in Wuhan absolutely constituted gain of function research. "When you talk to other scientists, they're saying it's the epitomy of 'gain-of-function' research. Despite Dr. Fauci's refusal to acknowledge this, it's clear he has a significant "conflict of interest."

During the interview, Paul explains that he has found multiple doctors and scientists to confirm that the research the NIH helped to finance at the WIV was, in fact, gain of function research - which was made illegal for the NIH to finance by the Obama Administration. What's clear is that Dr. Fauci, who led the agency and has been a vocal proponent of gain of function research, as the Australian first reported back in May.

"The NIH funded the lab...but once the public figures out that they were doing very, very dangerous research there...once everybody puts this together, he realizes where the blame is going to attach. He has at least tangential responsibility...if this came from the lab he was funding, my God just imagine the moral culpability the man has."

Paul also cited Dr. Fauci's obvious conflict of interest when it comes to the origins of COVID, and that "he doesn't really have the judgment to be in the position he's in."

Finally, the senator revealed that he has received "at least five death threats" related to his campaign to expose Dr. Fauci's conflict of interest.

"Is it your belief Senator that he lied to Congress and broke the law?" Hannity asks. "Yes," Sen. Paul responds. "And I will be sending a letter to the Department of Justice asking for a criminal referral."

During a different interview on Fox a few hours earlier, Sen. Paul explained how scientists had repeatedly confirmed that the research being done by Dr. Zhengli in Wuhan absolutely constituted gain of function research. Given the impact that Sen. Paul's comments have made, and the fact that mainstream reporters are starting to acknowledge that he has been, in fact, correct all along, we can't help but wonder: is Dr. Fauci's tenure as America's unofficial COVID czar finally coming to an end? How much longer until he becomes a political liability for the Democrats - at which point he will almost certainly be fired, or forced to resign, as Biden & Co. claim that the "inherited" the doctor from President Trump.

A Chinese virologist and whistleblower on Monday (Sept. 14) followed through on her pledge to release a paper explaining how the genome of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) indicates that it was constructed in a Chinese lab rather than naturally occurring.

Yan released the report on the data platform Zenodo with the title "Unusual Features of the SARS-CoV-2 Genome Suggesting Sophisticated Laboratory Modification Rather Than Natural Evolution and Delineation of Its Probable Synthetic Route." Zenodo is a general open access repository developed under the European OpenAIRE project and operated by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), allowing researchers to store data, software, reports, and any research-related tools.

The paper pointed out that the biological characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 are not consistent with a naturally occurring zoonotic virus. The researchers assert that the genomic, structural, medical, and literaty evidence presented in the paper strongly contradicts the natural origin theory.

'The Chinese government purposely engineered and unleashed the COVID-19 virus that resulted in worldwide mass shutdowns and deaths, a top virologist and whistleblower told Fox News host Tucker Carlson Tuesday. Yan said further information will be released but referred to her own high-ranking role in a research lab for the World Health Organization as a justification for believing her claim.

"I worked in the WHO reference lab, which is the top coronavirus lab in the world, in the University of Hong Kong. And the thing is I get deeply into such investigation in secret from the early beginning of this outbreak. I had my intelligence because I also get my own unit network in China, involved in the hospital ... also I work with the top coronavirus virologist in the world," she said.

Yan's remarks were in contrast with the opinion of Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and advisor on coronavirus in the White House, who had previously cast doubt on the notion that the virus was developed artificially. He told National Geographic in May: "When you look at the evolution of the virus in bats, then what's out there now is very, very strongly leaning towards that [virus] could not have been engineered intentionally or deliberately — the way the mutations developed naturally."

Her findings fuelled growing concerns that the Chinese government had neglected to warn the world about the danger of the virus early on. In particular, she claims the Chinese government has neglected research that could save lives. The State Department did not respond immediately to a request for comment from Fox News.

His former employer, Hong Kong University, attacked her account in response. A press release noted that "the substance of the above news article does not adhere to the core facts we understand."

Yan, who said she was one of the world's first scientists to research the novel coronavirus, has fled China and is now fearing retribution. In 2019, her boss at the University / WHO reference laboratory, Dr. Leo Poon, allegedly asked her to look into the unusual cluster of SARS-like cases coming out of mainland China at the end of December 2019.

Dr Li-Meng Yan was already working at a certain Hong Kong School of Public Health before the actual start of the whole COVID-19 pandemic. She then turned into a whistleblower herself on the entire Chinese government after she alleged that they already knew about the fact of coronavirus spread even before the dangerous outbreak was officially recognized.

Dr. Yan then said she had to escape to the US for her own safety and is now determined to talk to the whole world about her findings.

Dr. Yan also alleged that the White House health advisor known as Dr. Fauci probably knew even more than her about how they approved the previous gain-of-function study results to (fund) the specific Chinese laboratories that were under the jurisdiction of the CCP as a whole.

She said Dr. Fauci had more information than her and was also more invested in the whole project. A previous article by Newsweek has actually published that stated allegations that Dr. Fauci was actually funding the coronavirus with the use of US dollars!

The gain-of-function or GOF research, which was previously written about all the way back in July, is the actual euphemism for the whole government-sponsored biological research that was conducted for biodefense purposes and also aimed at increasing the virulence and also the lethality of the pathogens and the viruses.

After a month of the interview, Dr. Yan said she had proof that the COVID-19 was actually created in the known Wuhan laboratory. She also said she plans to release the current evidence showing that the COVID-19 did not emerge in nature but was in fact developed in the very Wuhan Virology Institute itself.

During the recent interview, Dr. Yan confirmed that she certainly intends to release the evidence showing why the coronavirus came from China's established laboratory and why they're really the only ones who did it.

In Part 1 of the paper, the scientists provide evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 was subjected to in vitro manipulation. First, it states that the genomic sequence of the virus is strikingly similar to that of a bat coronavirus found by People's Liberation Army (PLA) labs in the Third Military Medical University in Chongqing, China, and the Research Institute for Medicine of Nanjing Command in Nanjing, China.

Second, it shows that the receptor-binding motif (RBM) found in the virus's notorious spike protein is "suspiciously" similar to SARS-CoV from the 2003 SARS outbreak, indicating it was genetically modified. Third, the spike protein of the virus contains a unique furin cleavage site that is "completely absent in this particular class of coronaviruses found in nature," while the rare codons seen in this sequence suggest that it could have been inserted into the genome artificially

Regarding the "Zhoushan bat virus," the team wrote that ZC45 and ZXC2 have the highest sequence identity with SARS-CoV-2. In terms of similarity between ZC45/ZXC2 and SARS-CoV-2, the genome is 97 percent identical, the nucleocapsid protein is 94 percent identical, the membrane protein is 98.6 percent identical, and the S2 portion (2nd half) of the spike protein is 95 percent identical.
